Eddie started singing in his church choir, then as a teenager started a punk band, then a glam-style bank in which he used to play drums. He took his name ‘Eddie’ from the 2nd album by Wizzard, introducing Eddie and the Falcons, and ‘Vee’ from the fact that the Memphis mafia used to call Elvis ‘EV’.

Oddly enough, young Eddie's first ambition was not to storm the citadel of showbusiness but to be a librarian. He has hundreds of books, mostly purchased in his youth. He quit when he found the job quiet and boring.

Following his chance appearance as Elvis whilst being a DJ, Eddie has performed as an Elvis Tribute Artist in pubs and clubs around York and appeared on TV and radio shows.

Eddie has also performed for The Queen, Princess Anne, Princess Alexandra and Prince Andrew as well as at Elton John’s house for one of his big charity events.

First noticed by the BBC when he sang at an Elvis Convention that he’d organised in York, Eddie was asked to perform on ‘Children In Need’ and has helped raise nearly 2 Million pounds for charities.
